Shopify Unite is a conference for Partners, and the team wanted to show where the brick and mortar Shopify merchants were located. Using data queries we identified physical merchant shops in defined neighbourhoods and plotted them on stylized maps. These maps were then incorporated into the motion graphics and played back on a 12 screen multitouch display using ShadowSense technology.
The experience allowed participants to tap on a neighbourhood, explore merchants and retrieve a QR Code to allow them to redeem physical merchandise. The experience also provided statistics on the neighbourhood and how many merchants were present in the area, plus a breakdown on the primary categories they catered to. Developed in openFrameworks.
